How do I register my business on the Peppol network?
Register for Peppol
Open the Peppol dashboard, run the Peppol Wizard and create your Peppol Participant so other organisations can find you and send you e-invoices.
About 4 min
By the end of this guide your business will be registered as a Peppol Participant, with a Participant ID: your unique address on the Peppol network. To register, you must connect through an accredited Access Point provider; Supply Lens is one, and handles the registration for you.
Before you start
- An Organisation in Supply Lens. See Get started with Supply Lens if you don't have one yet.
- The identifier you'll register under, such as your VAT number or GLN. Most UK organisations use their VAT number or Companies House registration number. Copy it from an official source, because partners will look you up by it. See Peppol FAQs if you're unsure which to choose.
- Your company's registered name and country.
Steps
- Sign in to Supply Lens and click Peppol in the left-hand menu to open the Peppol dashboard.
- Click Run Wizard. On an organisation with no Participant yet, the dashboard suggests it.
- Fill out the Identifier section:
- Identifier Meta Schema is already set for you;
- Identifier Schema: choose the identifier type, such as
GLNorVAT; - Identifier Value: enter your number for that scheme. If you chose
GLN, enter your GLN.
- Fill out the Business Entity section with your Name and Country.
- Check the identifier value, then click Create participant.
- The wizard moves on to adding trading partners. Carry on with Add a Peppol trading partner, or click Done to finish later.
Check it worked
- Your Participant is listed on the Peppol Dashboard and on My Participants.
- When you create a message, your Participant is available as the Sender ID.
If something goes wrong
- You can't see Peppol in the menu. You need an Organisation in Supply Lens first.
- Partners can't find you. Check the Identifier Value on My Participants against your official number; a typo means partners searching for your real number won't find you. Contact the Support Team for help.
