Supply Lens

How do I get started with Supply Lens?

Get started with Supply Lens

The five steps from a brand new account to your first data arriving in Supply Lens, with a link to the guide for each one.

About 5 min

Follow these five steps and you will have an account, an Organisation, a connected system and your first data showing in Supply Lens.

Before you start

  • Admin access to the app you want to connect, such as your web shop or ERP.
  • API credentials or permission to authorise the connection, if the app needs them.
  • A list of what you want to sync (products, orders, inventory and so on) and which way each should flow.

Steps

  1. Create your Supply Lens account. Register at app.supplylens.co.uk with an email address and password or a single sign-on (SSO) provider. See Create an account.
  2. Create your Organisation. This is your company's home in Supply Lens. You choose a plan as part of creating it. See Set up your Organisation.
  3. Create an Integration for your first app. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations, click + ADD INTEGRATION, pick your app and follow the on-screen steps to authorise it. See Add an Integration.
  4. Add a Configuration for each document type. Click the Integration, click Configurations, then + Add. Choose the document type, whether Supply Lens should Send or Receive it, and click Save. See Add a Configuration.
  5. Receive and browse your data. Run the Integration with the Manual Operation buttons, or give it a schedule. Then open the matching screen in the menu: if you configured Orders, go to Sales → Orders. See Run an Integration manually.

Moving data between two systems

To send data from one Integration to another, you also need a Mapping, the rule that says where each Document goes. Add one as soon as you have two Integrations. See Add a Mapping.

Check it worked

  • Your Organisation appears in your list of organisations and you can open it.
  • Your Integration shows an Enabled badge on the Integrations screen.
  • After a run, Documents appear on the screen for the document type you configured, for example Sales → Orders.
