How do I run an integration straight away?

Run an Integration manually

Trigger an immediate send or receive on an Integration, outside its normal schedule.

About 2 min

Run an Integration by hand when it has no schedule, when you're testing, or when you've just fixed something and don't want to wait for the next run.

Before you start

  • An Integration set up in Supply Lens, with Activation set to Enabled. A disabled Integration doesn't send or receive anything. See Add an Integration.
  • Know which button you need. Directions are from Supply Lens's point of view:
ButtonWhat it does
Run receiveCollects new data from the other system into Supply Lens.
Run sendDelivers data waiting in Supply Lens to the other system.
Run send & receiveDoes both.

Steps

  1. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations.
  2. Click the Integration you want to run.
  3. In the Manual Operation card, click Run send & receive, Run send or Run receive.

Tip

Run the Integration at the end of the flow you care about. To collect despatches from your 3PL, run receive on the 3PL Integration. To push sales orders into your ERP, run send on the ERP Integration.

Check it worked

  • After a receive, new Documents appear on the matching list, for example Sales → Orders.
  • After a send, waiting target data for that Integration changes from Pending to Sent.

If something goes wrong

  • Nothing happens. Check Activation is Enabled, then look at the logs of the Integration's latest communications session.
  • Documents arrive but stay Ready. That's a manual Mapping, not a manual run. Process the Documents to send them on.
  • The run fails with connection errors. See Fix connection or login failures.
