Connect your store
Lesson 3 of 12 5 min read
Create the WooCommerce Integration in Supply Lens and find your way around its tile.
With your key and site address ready, connecting takes a couple of minutes. In this lesson you'll create the Integration and learn what each part of its tile does, so you know where to go for every later step.
Create the Integration
- Log in to Supply Lens and go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations.
- Click + Add Integration in the top-right to show the available Integrations.
- Find WooCommerce and click Add. A short form opens.
- Fill in Site Address, Client Key and Client Secret.
- Click Connect. A new tile for your store appears in the Integrations list.
| Site Address | Your store's web address. It must use https as its protocol, for example https://shop.example.co.uk. |
|---|---|
| Client Key | Generated in WooCommerce when you created the API key for the Supply Lens user. |
| Client Secret | Generated at the same time as the Client Key. Treat it like a password. |
Don't switch it on yet
Creating the Integration doesn't start syncing. You'll add configurations, set up webhooks and Mappings first, and only then toggle the Integration to Enabled. When you do, the first sync starts immediately.
Find your way around the tile
Click the arrow on the new tile to expand it. Each card controls one thing.
| Activation | Whether the Integration can run. When disabled, nothing is sent or received. |
|---|---|
| State | Live or Test. This usually only matters for EDI Integrations and can be left unset for WooCommerce. |
| Configurations | What this Integration sends and receives, one configuration per Document type. You'll add these next. |
| Webhooks | Where you set up WooCommerce webhooks so orders and refunds arrive instantly. |
| Schedule | How often the Integration runs automatically: every 30 minutes, or 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 hours. With no schedule, you run it manually. |
| Default Unit of Measure | Forces every quantity on this Integration into one Unit of Measure. Leave unset to use each Product's defaults. |
| Manual Operation | Run Send & Receive, Run Send or Run Receive now, outside the schedule. |
| Remove | Permanently removes the Integration and its stored credentials. Documents already created are kept. |
The tile also shows a key and an id. Supply Lens sets these itself. Quote the
Integration ID when you contact Support.
Fernbrook connects
Priya pastes https://shop.fernbrookbotanicals.co.uk, the Client Key and the Client
Secret into the form and clicks Connect. The Fernbrook Botanicals tile appears. She
leaves Activation off and State unset, and notes the Integration ID in her setup
document in case she needs Support later.
Recap
- Add WooCommerce from Settings → Integration setup → Integrations → + Add Integration.
- The form needs the https site address, Client Key and Client Secret.
- The tile's cards control activation, configurations, webhooks, schedule, Unit of Measure and manual runs.
- Leave the Integration disabled until configurations, webhooks and Mappings are ready: enabling it starts the first sync immediately.
