Capacity settings
Every setting on the Capacity Order and Shipment Configurations, including the ship method and residential flag maps.
Capacity is a fulfilment provider. Supply Lens sends it orders and imports its shipments. The settings are on two Configurations: Capacity Order and Capacity Shipment.
Order translation
These settings are on the Capacity Order Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
Ship method from carrier service map ShipMethodFromCarrierServiceMap | Maps carrier service names to Capacity ship method codes, deciding which Capacity ship method goes on the order. Names are matched without regard to case. | A map. A default can be set for services with no explicit mapping. | Always set it, with a default so an unfamiliar service still gets a valid ship method. |
Residential flag tag map residentialFlagTagMap | Maps order tags to the residential flag that tells Capacity whether an order is a residential delivery. Evaluated in order; the first matching tag decides. | A map. A default can be set for when no tag matches. | Set it when residential and business deliveries are handled differently. Make the default whichever is more common. |
Capital S
ShipMethodFromCarrierServiceMap starts with a capital S. Copy the key exactly from
Create Default JSON.
Good to know
The guide doesn't show the JSON shape of these maps. Start from Create Default JSON and follow the shape it gives you.
Shipment import
These settings are on the Capacity Shipment Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
Setup date setupDate | Only shipments created on or after this date are imported, so historical shipments aren't pulled in at go-live. | A date. Set automatically when the Integration is first configured. | Not normally changed afterwards. |
Last import date lastImportDate | The import watermark. Each run fetches only shipments modified after this time. | Date and time. Managed by the system. | Don't edit it by hand. |
Import delay importDelay | Waits before importing a shipment, so other systems can update it first. | A duration, for example 00:05:00 for five minutes. | Set it when another system changes shipments after they're created. |
