BigCommerce settings
Every setting on the BigCommerce inventory, order, product update and shipment Configurations, what it does and when to change it.
The BigCommerce connector imports orders and product updates from BigCommerce, sends stock levels back and sends shipments. Its settings live on four Configurations: BigCommerce Inventory, BigCommerce Order, BigCommerce Product Update and BigCommerce Shipment.
Inventory
These settings are on the BigCommerce Inventory Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|

Assign to default allotment assignToDefaultAllotment | Assigns stock to the default BigCommerce allotment rather than to specific warehouse locations. | true or false. When off or not set, stock is spread across the configured BigCommerce warehouse locations. | Turn on if you don't use multiple locations in BigCommerce. |
Order import
These settings are on the BigCommerce Order Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
Setup date setupDate | Only orders created on or after this date are imported, so historical orders aren't pulled in at go-live. | Date. Set automatically when the Integration is first configured. | Not normally changed afterwards. |
Last import date lastImportDate | The import watermark. Each run fetches only orders modified after it. | Date and time. Managed by the system. | Don't edit it by hand. |
Import delay importDelay | Waits this long before importing an order, so other BigCommerce apps (a 3PL, fulfilment app or pricing engine) can update it first. | Duration, for example 00:05:00 for five minutes. | Add a delay if another app changes orders just after they arrive. |
Include statuses includeStatuses | Only orders in one of these BigCommerce statuses are imported. | List of statuses. Empty means all. | Import only orders at a particular status. |
Exclude statuses excludeStatuses | Orders in one of these statuses are skipped, even if they'd otherwise be imported. | List of statuses. | Skip statuses you don't want. |
Use email as customer identifier useEmailAsPartyIdentifier | Adds the customer's email as a customer identifier, so the target system can match customers by email. | On or off. | Turn on when customers are best matched by email. |
Default fulfilment location defaultFulfillmentLocationId | The fulfilment Location assigned to every imported order. | A Location ID. | Set it to the warehouse that fulfils BigCommerce orders. |
Disable the expected payable tag disableExpectedPayableTag | Stops the expected payable tag being added. That tag is normally used to check that the calculated order total matches the expected amount. | On or off. | Turn on only to skip the total check. |

These settings are on the BigCommerce Product Update Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
