B2B Wave settings

Every setting on the B2B Wave order and inventory Configurations, what it does and when to change it, plus the delivery date, sales rep and discount information each order carries.

The B2B Wave connector imports wholesale orders from your B2B Wave portal and sends stock levels back. These settings live on two Configurations: B2B Wave Order (order import) and B2B Wave Inventory (the stock file sent to B2B Wave).

Order import

These settings are on the B2B Wave Order Configuration.

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Last import date lastImportDateThe import watermark. Only orders modified after this time are fetched, and it moves forward after each run.Date and time. Managed by the system.Don't edit it by hand.
Use email as customer identifier useEmailAsPartyIdentifierAdds the customer's email address as a customer identifier on the imported order, so the target system can match the trade account by email. On or off. When off, email isn't used for matching.Turn on when your customers are best matched by email.
Default customer defaultCustomerIdThe Party used when an order has no identifiable customer.A Party ID.Set it as a safety net for orders without customer details.
Always use the default customer alwaysSetDefaultCustomerIdUses defaultCustomerId for every order, whether or not a customer could be identified. On or off.Turn on only when all orders should go to one generic customer account. For a wholesale portal you'll usually leave it off.

Disable the expected payable tag disableExpectedPayableTagStops the expected payable tag being added. That tag is normally used to check that the calculated order total matches the expected amount. On or off.Turn on only to skip the total check.

Inventory

This setting is on the B2B Wave Inventory Configuration.

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Use warehouses useWarehousesBreaks the stock file sent to B2B Wave down by warehouse, with a quantity for each.On or off. Default off: a single total across all Locations.Turn on when B2B Wave should show stock per warehouse.

What an imported order carries

These need no settings, but a target Integration may be looking for them.

InformationWhere it lands
Requested delivery dateThe Document's requested ship date. B2B Wave sends it as local midnight with a time offset, and it's read in that offset rather than converted to UTC, so an order for the 2nd stays the 2nd. No date on the order leaves the field empty.
Sales repThe rep's name as the Document's salesperson, and the rep's email on a b2b-wave:sales_person_email tag. A name must match exactly at the far end; an email survives a rename or a spelling difference, so a target should prefer the email.
Customer discountTwo tags: b2b-wave:customer_discount_percentage (a fifth off is 20.0) and b2b-wave:customer_discount_rate (0.2). Both are written, even when the discount is zero, so each target can take the one its field wants.

The discount is already applied

B2B Wave has already applied the discount to the order lines. The discount tags are not a discount still to be taken off: they're there for a target system that stores the rate against its own customer record.

Unleashed reads these tags only once its order Configuration points at them, through salesPersonEmailTagMap and customerDiscountRateTagMap. See Unleashed order settings.
