What does "no conversion to this size could be found" mean?
Fix: no conversion to this size
Fix orders that fail because a line's pack size has no matching Unit of Measure conversion on the Product.
About 3 min
If your Organisation uses Units of Measure, Supply Lens checks the units on every order it
receives. When a line has a traded unit size (a pack size) that the Product has no conversion for,
the order is set to Failed with an error like this:
Cross reference of order 691fec6851030ea87d7b27b3 has failed:
Line 1 specified a traded unit size of 6.000 but no conversion to this size could be found
The fix is to add a conversion for that size on the Product.
Before you start
- Confirm the pack size is real. If nobody actually packs that size, the order is wrong, and adding a conversion would send a quantity your warehouse can't pick.
Steps
- Open the failed order and, from its Logs, note the line number and the traded unit size (here, line 1 and 6).
- Open the Product on that line: click the line's green tick, or search for its SKU.
- Add a conversion that holds that many single units, for example 1 Case is equivalent to 6 Bag. See Add a unit conversion.
- Reprocess the order.
Check it worked
The order's status changes to Complete.
If something goes wrong
- The unit you need doesn't exist yet. Add it to your Units of Measure first. See Add units of measure.
- It still fails. Check the conversion holds exactly the traded unit size in the error. If it does, contact the Support Team with the Document ID.
