Supply Lens

How do I find an order or other document in Supply Lens?

Find a Document

Find any Document quickly by searching for its reference, filtering a list, or pinning the views you use every day.

About 3 min

Use search when you have a reference such as an order number, and filters when you want a set of Documents.

Before you start

  • A reference to look for (an order, invoice or shipment number), or an idea of the document type and date.

Steps

Search by reference

  1. Press / or select the search button in the top bar.
  2. Paste the reference.
  3. Pick from the results: the Documents, source data and target data that carry it, each with its status and the date it arrived.

If there are more results than fit, click the link in the heading, such as Show all 47 documents, to open the full list already filtered.

Filter a list

  1. Open the list for the document type, for example Sales → Orders. If you're not sure of the type, use All documents.
  2. Filter on the column you know:
    • Reference: an order or other reference.
    • Document number: exactly, or with options such as "starts with".
    • in: paste a list of document numbers or references to filter by them all at once.
    • Date: a single day or a date range, based on the document date.
  3. To keep the view, pin it. It appears as a tab below the top bar.

Tip

Press Q on a row to preview a Document without losing your place in the list.

Check it worked

The Document you want is in the results. Click the magnifying glass on its row to open it (see Read a Document).

If something goes wrong

  • Search finds nothing. Search needs at least three characters for names and codes. If a reference returns nothing at all, the data may never have reached Supply Lens. See Fix a Document not reaching its target.
  • A list is empty. The list tells you whether nothing has been added yet or your filters are hiding everything. Clear the filters, or widen the date range.
  • You can't see a document type in the menu. You only see the types your Mappings use.
