DespatchCloud settings
Every setting on the DespatchCloud Order and Shipment Configurations, from the order reference and shipping method map to the shipment reference.
The DespatchCloud connector sends orders to DespatchCloud and imports its shipments. The settings are on two Configurations: DespatchCloud Order and DespatchCloud Shipment.
Orders
These settings are on the DespatchCloud Order Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
Use buyer order number as channel alt ID useBuyerOrderNumberAsChannelAltId | Sends the buyer's purchase order reference as DespatchCloud's channel_alt_id field, instead of the order reference. | On or off. | Turn on when orders should be tracked by the customer's PO number. |
Shipping method map shippingMethodMap | A dictionary translating shipping method names from the source system into the method names DespatchCloud requires. | A dictionary of source name → DespatchCloud method name. No default is documented. | Map every shipping method your source system uses. |
Shipment import
These settings are on the DespatchCloud Shipment Configuration.
| Setting | What it does | Values / default | When to change it |
|---|---|---|---|
Last import date lastImportDate | The import watermark. Each run fetches only shipments modified after this point. | Date and time. Managed by the system. | Don't edit it by hand. |
Import delay importDelay | Waits before importing a shipment, so other systems can change it first. | A duration, for example 00:05:00 for five minutes. | Set it when another system changes shipments after they're created. |
Reference source referenceSource | Which DespatchCloud field becomes the shipment reference. If the chosen field is empty, the process reference (process_ref) is used instead. | ProcessRef (default), ChannelOrderId or ChannelAltId. | Choose the field your downstream system can match shipments by. If you send the buyer's PO as channel_alt_id, consider ChannelAltId. |
