Mappings and activation

Route Shopify Documents to your other systems with Mappings, then activate the Integration.
Configurations decide what Supply Lens exchanges with Shopify. Mappings decide where each Document goes next. In this lesson you'll add the Mappings that join Shopify to the rest of your systems, then switch the Integration on.
One Mapping per flow
Each arrow in your data flow is one Mapping. For a Shopify and Unleashed set-up like Hilltop Coffee's, that's:
Add a Mapping
- Go to Settings → Integration setup → Mappings.
- Click + ADD in the top-right.
- Set the Map, From, As and To fields.
- Click SAVE.
For the Orders Mapping, From is your Shopify Integration and To is the back-office Integration. For Inventory and Shipments, it's the other way round: From is the back-office Integration and To is Shopify.
Finer control
A Mapping can also have conditions, for example to route only certain customers or to apply tags. Connecting your systems covers the full set of Mapping fields.
Activate the Integration
- On the Integrations page, expand the Shopify tile.
- In the Activation section, toggle the Integration to Enabled.
The first sync starts straight away
As soon as you enable the Integration, the first sync starts and new data appears in
Supply Lens. Make sure your order filters are right before you switch on, especially
setupDate, which stops historical orders being pulled in. If you aren't ready for
orders to reach your back-office system yet, hold off on the Orders Mapping until you've
checked a test order in Supply Lens.
Hilltop Coffee switches on
Priya creates the Orders Mapping from Shopify to Unleashed, and the Inventory and Shipments Mappings from Unleashed to Shopify. She checks the order Configuration's filters (covered in the next module), then toggles Activation to Enabled.
Recap
- Each flow between two systems needs its own Mapping in Settings → Integration setup → Mappings.
- Orders map from Shopify to the back office; inventory and shipments map from the back office to Shopify.
- Toggle Activation to Enabled to switch the Integration on.
- The first sync begins immediately, so check your filters first.
