Supply Lens

How do I connect my Faire brand account to Supply Lens?

Add Faire

Connect Faire with an access token so wholesale orders reach your back office with the right tax treatment, and stock goes back to Faire.

About 6 min

At the end of this guide your Faire brand will be connected to Supply Lens, with wholesale orders flowing to your back office and stock flowing to Faire, tested on one order.

Before you start

  • A Faire access token from your brand's Faire account.
  • Admin access to Supply Lens, to reach Settings → Integration setup.
  • Your ERP or IMS already connected. See Add an Integration.
  • SKUs aligned between Faire and your item master. See Align your SKUs.
  • Decisions from your finance team: book every Faire order to one "Faire" customer or each retailer separately; take tax from Faire's payout or from your Products' tax codes; and whether Faire's commission should appear on the order.
  • A fulfilment Location, and a Party for Faire if you'll use a single customer. See Add a Party.

Steps

Create and connect

  1. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations.
  2. Click + ADD INTEGRATION, search for Faire and click ADD.
  3. Paste your access token and click CONNECT. The Integration is named after your Faire brand automatically. Leave Activation disabled for now.

Add Configurations

  1. Expand the tile, click Configurations, then + Add. Add Order (Receive) and Inventory (Send), clicking Create Default JSON and Save for each.
  2. In Order, set statesIncluded to the Faire state that means accepted and ready to ship. Set defaultFulfillmentLocationId, and defaultCustomerId with alwaysSetDefaultCustomerId if every order goes to one customer.
  3. Set setTaxAsAdjustment: on to take Faire's reported tax as order-level adjustments with zero-rated lines; off to use each Product's own tax code (every Product then needs one).
  4. Leave addDiscountForCommission off unless finance wants commission shown on the order.
  5. In Inventory, use excludedLocations for Locations that shouldn't feed wholesale, such as a returns bay.

Add Mappings

  1. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Mappings and click + ADD.
  2. Create Order from Faire to your ERP, and Inventory from your ERP to Faire.
  3. Set As to Target Data, tick Enabled, leave Automatic off while testing, and click SAVE.

Test

  1. Set Activation to Enabled, with no schedule.
  2. Accept a test or real order in Faire so it's in an included state.
  3. Click Run Receive under Manual Operation.

Check it worked

  • The order appears under Sales → Orders in Supply Lens with the right customer, Location and tax.
  • After processing, it reaches your ERP with totals finance expects. Then set a Schedule and turn Automatic on.

If something goes wrong

  • Lines have no tax. setTaxAsAdjustment is off and the Product has no tax code. Add one, or set forceLineTaxCode.
  • Commission is counted twice. If finance books commission from Faire's statements, turn addDiscountForCommission off.
  • Orders arrive before other Faire apps have updated them. Set an importDelay.
  • For every setting, see the Faire settings.
