Faire settings

Every setting on the Faire order and inventory Configurations, including how tax and Faire's commission are represented on imported orders.

The Faire connector imports wholesale orders from Faire and sends stock levels back. Its settings live on two Configurations: Faire Order and Faire Inventory.

Order import: what gets imported

These settings, and those in the next three sections, are on the Faire Order Configuration.

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Setup date setupDateOnly orders created on or after this date are imported, so historical orders aren't pulled in at go-live.Date. Set automatically when the Integration is first configured. Not normally changed afterwards.
Last import date lastImportDateThe import watermark. Each run fetches only orders modified after it.Date and time. Managed by the system.Don't edit it by hand.
Import delay importDelayWaits this long before importing an order, so other Faire apps (a 3PL, fulfilment app or pricing engine) can update it first.Duration, for example 00:05:00 for five minutes.Add a delay if another app changes orders just after they arrive.
States included statesIncludedWhen not empty, only orders in one of these Faire order states are imported.List of states.Import only orders at a particular state.
States excluded statesExcludedOrders in one of these Faire order states are skipped, even if they'd otherwise be imported.List of states.Skip states you don't want.

Order import: tax

Faire reports tax against the payout rather than against each line, so on the order it can only be an adjustment.

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Set tax as adjustment setTaxAsAdjustmentChooses where the order's tax comes from. See below.true or false.Decide this before go-live; it changes how every order's tax looks.
Force tax code forceTaxCodeA tax code applied to every line and adjustment, overriding any tax information in the data. The fallback for forceLineTaxCode and forceAdjustmentTaxCode when those aren't set.A tax code.Use it when every Faire order should carry one tax code.
Force line tax code forceLineTaxCodeA tax code for product lines. Only has an effect when setTaxAsAdjustment is off, where it replaces the cross-referenced Product's tax code.A tax code.Use it when Products don't have tax codes, or every Faire order should use the same rate.
Force adjustment tax code forceAdjustmentTaxCodeA tax code for the discount and charge lines: the brand discount, the commission line and any tax adjustments.A tax code. When not set, these lines are zero rated.Set it if those lines need a tax code in your target system.

What setTaxAsAdjustment does

  • On: the tax amounts Faire reports are added as order-level adjustments, and every product line is zero rated.
  • Off: no tax information is taken from Faire at all. Product lines are imported without a tax line, and the tax code comes from the cross-referenced Product's own tax code. Each Product in Supply Lens then needs a tax code; Products without one import with no tax unless forceLineTaxCode is set.

Order import: commission

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Add discount for commission addDiscountForCommissionAdds Faire's commission for the order (commission plus commission_flat_fee from the payout costs) as a discount adjustment. If the combined figure is negative, it's added as a charge instead.true or false. Off by default: commission isn't on the order at all.Turn on if your accounts should show the order net of commission.
Commission tax code commissionTaxCodeThe tax code for the commission line. Takes precedence over forceAdjustmentTaxCode.A tax code. When neither is set, the commission line is marked outside the scope of tax.Set it if commission needs a specific tax treatment.

Order import: customers and fulfilment

SettingWhat it doesValues / defaultWhen to change it
Default fulfilment location defaultFulfillmentLocationIdThe fulfilment Location assigned to every imported Faire order.A Location ID.Set it to the warehouse that fulfils Faire orders.
Default customer defaultCustomerIdThe Party used when no customer can be identified.A Party ID.Set it as a fallback.
Always use the default customer alwaysSetDefaultCustomerIdUses the default customer for every order, whatever customer information is on it.true or false.Turn on when all Faire orders should go to one generic customer account.
