Find your way around the Peppol app
Lesson 15 of 22 5 min read
Open the Peppol dashboard from your Supply Lens organisation and learn what each menu item is for.
Peppol has its own area in Supply Lens, separate from the Integrations screens you use for EDI. In this lesson you'll open it and learn the four menu items you'll use for everything else in this course.
Before you start
You need an Organisation in Supply Lens to manage Peppol. If you created your organisation through the Peppol route, you'll already have seen the Peppol dashboard: when a new organisation is created and a plan chosen, Supply Lens takes you straight there.
Open the Peppol dashboard
- Sign in to Supply Lens.
- Click Peppol in the left-hand menu. (The menu links straight to Peppol.)
The four menu items
| Dashboard | A summary of your messages and a list of your Participants. If you don't have a Participant yet, it suggests running the wizard to add your first. |
|---|---|
| Messages | All your Peppol messages. You also create new invoices and add existing Peppol messages from here. |
| My Participants | Your Participants, and the Peppol configuration for each. |
| Metadata | View and upload the metadata used when Peppol documents are created in Supply Lens: your accounts and your trading partners. |
Start at the dashboard
On a brand-new organisation the dashboard prompts you to Run Wizard. The wizard registers your Participant and adds your trading partners in one go, so it's the quickest way to get set up. The next two lessons walk through it.
How the pieces relate
The wizard fills My Participants and Metadata, and both are needed before you can create anything on Messages: a message needs a sender (your Participant) and a receiver (a trading partner).
Ashby Joinery's first look
Ashby's office manager signs in and clicks Peppol. The dashboard shows no messages and no Participants, with a suggestion to run the wizard. She notes the four menu items and heads for Run Wizard.
