Supply Lens

How do I connect my Magento store to Supply Lens?

Add Magento

Connect a Magento (Adobe Commerce) store so web orders and credit memos reach your back office, and stock and despatches go back to the shop.

About 6 min

At the end of this guide your Magento store will be connected to Supply Lens, with orders flowing to your ERP and stock and shipments flowing back, tested on one order.

Before you start

  • Magento admin access, and the connection details the Magento form asks for.
  • Admin access to Supply Lens, to reach Settings → Integration setup.
  • Your ERP or IMS already connected, for example Unleashed. See Add an Integration.
  • SKUs aligned exactly between Magento and your item master. See Align your SKUs.
  • Some answers from the merchant: which Magento status orders are in when they're ready to fulfil, how guest orders should be booked, and which Magento inventory source the shop sells from.
  • A Party for guest orders and a Location for fulfilment, if you'll use them. See Add a Party and Add a Location.

Steps

Create and connect

  1. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations.
  2. Click + ADD INTEGRATION, search for Magento and click ADD.
  3. Complete the form and click CONNECT. Leave Activation disabled for now.

Add Configurations

  1. Expand the tile, click Configurations, then + Add. For each document type below, choose the direction, click Create Default JSON, then Save:

    Document typeDirectionWhat it does
    OrderReceiveImports web orders
    CreditReceiveImports credit memos (refunds)
    InventorySendSends stock to Magento
    ShipmentSendUpdates Magento shipments with tracking
  2. In Order, set statusesToImport to the status orders are in when ready to fulfil (the default is processing only). Set guestPartyId for guest checkouts and fulfillmentLocationId for the fulfilment Location.

  3. In Inventory, set defaultSourceCode to the source the shop sells from.

  4. In Shipment, decide notify: turn it on only if nobody else emails customers a despatch notice.

  5. Keep useBaseValues the same on Order and Credit.

Add Mappings

  1. Go to Settings → Integration setup → Mappings and click + ADD.

  2. Create the Mappings you need, for example:

    MapFromTo
    OrderMagentoYour ERP
    CreditMagentoYour ERP
    InventoryYour ERPMagento
    ShipmentYour ERP or 3PLMagento
  3. Set As to Target Data, tick Enabled, and leave Automatic off while you test. Click SAVE.

Test

  1. Set Activation to Enabled, with no schedule.
  2. Place a test order in Magento and move it to the status you chose.
  3. On the Magento tile, click Run Receive under Manual Operation.

Check it worked

  • The test order appears under Sales → Orders in Supply Lens, with the right customer and lines, and nothing older than your go-live date.
  • After you process it, the sales order appears in your ERP.
  • When you're happy, set a Schedule and turn Automatic on for your Mappings.

If something goes wrong

  • No orders arrive. Orders are in a status not listed in statusesToImport. Add it.
  • A line fails with an unknown product. See Fix "product does not exist". Remember bundles arrive as their component lines by default (productTypesImportChildren).
  • Customers get two despatch emails. Turn notify off on the Shipment Configuration.
  • Stock updates are slow or throttled. Try useBulkEndpoint, or single-product updates with a rate limit. See the Magento settings.
