How do I connect my Mintsoft 3PL to Supply Lens?
Add Mintsoft
Connect your 3PL's Mintsoft account so orders and goods-in notices go to the warehouse, and shipments, receipts and stock come back.
About 6 min
At the end of this guide your 3PL's Mintsoft account will be connected to Supply Lens, with orders going out to the warehouse and despatches coming back, tested on one order.
Before you start
- The Mintsoft connection details from your 3PL. Ask your 3PL for the details the Mintsoft connection form needs, and for your Mintsoft client ID and the warehouse your stock is held in. Mintsoft is multi-client, so the client ID matters.
- Admin access to Supply Lens, to reach Settings → Integration setup.
- Your ERP or storefront already connected, for example Unleashed. See Add an Integration.
- SKUs aligned. Every SKU the warehouse will see must match your item master exactly. See Align your SKUs.
- Courier services agreed with the 3PL: which Mintsoft courier service each of your delivery methods should become.
Steps
Create and connect
- Go to Settings → Integration setup → Integrations.
- Click + ADD INTEGRATION, search for Mintsoft and click ADD.
- Complete the connection form with the details from your 3PL and click CONNECT.
- Expand the new Integration's tile and rename it with the pencil if you like, for example Brookside (Mintsoft). Leave Activation disabled for now.
Add Configurations
-
On the tile, click Configurations, then + Add.
-
Add one Configuration for each flow you need, clicking Create Default JSON and then Save for each:
Settings group Direction Mintsoft Order Send (Supply Lens creates the order in Mintsoft) Mintsoft Shipment Receive Mintsoft Goods Inbound Send Mintsoft Goods Inbound Receipt Receive Mintsoft Inventory Receive -
In the order Configuration, set
clientIdto your Mintsoft client, and setcourierServiceMapto translate your delivery methods into Mintsoft courier services. -
In every Receive Configuration, set
filterByClientIdto your client ID so you only bring back your own records from a shared 3PL account.
Good to know
Send and Receive are from Supply Lens's point of view: orders go to Mintsoft (Send) and shipments come from it (Receive). Most setups only need the sending side of the Mintsoft Order group; its import settings are for orders that reach Mintsoft by another route.
Add master data
- On the Location for the 3PL's warehouse, add a Mintsoft Warehouse or Mintsoft Warehouse Id identifier. See Add a Location identifier.
- On your own Party, add your Mintsoft Client ID. See Add a Party identifier.
Add Mappings
-
Go to Settings → Integration setup → Mappings and click + ADD.
-
Create one Mapping per flow, for example:
Map From To Warehouse Order Your ERP Mintsoft Shipment Mintsoft Your ERP Shipment Mintsoft Your storefront Goods Inbound Your ERP Mintsoft Goods Inbound Receipt Mintsoft Your ERP Inventory Mintsoft Your ERP -
Set As to Target Data, tick Enabled, and leave Automatic off while you test. Click SAVE.
Test
- Set Activation to Enabled, but leave the schedule off.
- Create one test order in your ERP and process it so a warehouse order is produced.
- On the Mintsoft tile, click Run Send under Manual Operation.
- Ask the 3PL to despatch the test order, then click Run Receive.
Check it worked
- The order appears in Mintsoft under your client, with the right address and courier service.
- The despatch comes back as a Shipment in Supply Lens, matched to its order, and the tracking reaches your ERP and storefront.
- Each Document's target data shows as sent. When you're happy, set a Schedule and turn Automatic on for your Mappings.
If something goes wrong
- Other clients' shipments or stock appear.
filterByClientIdis empty on a Receive Configuration. Set it to your client ID. - A line fails with an unknown product. The SKU doesn't match. See Fix "product does not exist".
- Cancelled orders are still picked. Check
automaticallyCancelOrdersis still on in the order Configuration. If you turn it off, someone must cancel orders in Mintsoft by hand. - Shipments don't match their orders. Check the reference type settings, and keep
skipBundleProcessingthe same on Order and Shipment. See the Mintsoft settings.
