Logiwa settings and gotchas

Lesson 14 of 28 5 min read

Configure Logiwa purchase orders, receipt status filters and depositor-based stock imports, and avoid the common mistakes.

Logiwa has a short settings guide, but each setting is a decision you need the 3PL's input on. This lesson takes them in flow order.

Logiwa Goods Inbound: what kind of purchase order?

defaultPurchaseOrderTypeThe Logiwa purchase order type given to goods inbound records Supply Lens creates.
defaultPurchaseOrderStatusThe initial status of the purchase order when it is created.
defaultPackTypeThe pack type used on goods inbound lines: how items are packed on arrival.

All three are Logiwa's own values. Ask the 3PL which purchase order type and starting status they use for supplier deliveries, and which pack type matches how your goods arrive.

Logiwa Goods Inbound Receipt: which receipts?

Receipts use the standard import window (setupDate, lastImportDate, importDelay) and one filter:

warehouseReceiptStatusIdsOnly receipts in these Logiwa warehouse receipt statuses are imported. Empty includes all statuses.

Import finished receipts

If receipts in every status are imported, a half-counted delivery can reach the ERP. Ask the 3PL which status id means the receipt is complete and filter to it.

Logiwa Inventory: whose stock, where?

setupDate, lastImportDate, importDelayThe standard import window.
depositorIdsLogiwa depositor ids to include. Empty includes every depositor.
warehouseIdsLogiwa warehouse ids to include. Empty includes every warehouse.

Always set depositorIds on a multi-brand 3PL

With depositorIds empty, stock for every depositor the credentials can see is imported. On a 3PL holding several brands, that means other companies' stock could land in your ERP.

Gotchas checklist

  • depositorIds set to your own depositor.
  • warehouseIds limited to warehouses whose stock should count.
  • warehouseReceiptStatusIds limited to finished receipts.
  • Purchase order type, status and pack type agreed with the 3PL.

Brightwell's surprise stock

Brightwell's first inventory run shows hundreds of unfamiliar products in its ERP's error log. The 3PL's credentials can see every depositor. The implementer sets depositorIds to Brightwell's depositor id, and the next run imports only Brightwell's stock.

Recap

  • Goods inbound creates a Logiwa purchase order with a default type, status and pack type.
  • Receipts can be filtered by warehouse receipt status; filter to finished ones.
  • Inventory filters by depositor and warehouse; empty means everything visible.
  • Set depositorIds on any multi-brand 3PL.
